Luma TCG: Scan, Manage & Value Your Card Collection

Luma TCG: The App to Manage and Value Your Trading Card Collection

A Pokémon card tucked away in a binder, a One Piece alternate art you are still looking for, a box you have kept sealed, and a few Magic cards whose value you have lost track of. A collection grows through pack openings, trades, and unexpected favorites. Keeping it organized does not always happen at the same pace.

Luma TCG is a trading card collection management app available on iPhone, Android, and web browsers. It brings together seven games, a card scanner, edition and language tracking, collection value estimates, sealed product tracking, and a community space.

Its purpose is simple: help you know what you own, find what you are missing, and share what you love without juggling multiple tools.

A free plan lets you get started. Luma Pro expands your collection limits and unlocks advanced analytics.

What Is Luma TCG?

Luma brings together two sides of collecting: staying organized and enjoying your collection with others.

On one side, the app works as an inventory: you can find your cards, their quantities, the sets they belong to, and their estimated value. On the other, it offers profiles, a card showcase, and posts to help you discover other collectors' collections.

This approach suits someone returning to their first Pokémon binder just as much as a collector whose purchases span multiple games, languages, and product types.

You can start with a few cards, then add sealed products, build a wishlist, or explore how your collection's value changes. Luma does not just answer “How much is this card worth?” It also helps answer a more everyday question: “Where do I stand with my collection?”

Seven Trading Card Games in One App

Collecting several TCGs should not mean rebuilding your inventory in a different app for every game.

Luma supports the following seven games:

Trading card gameExplore it on Luma
PokémonPokémon card catalog and prices
One Piece Card GameOne Piece card catalog and values
Magic: The GatheringMagic card catalog and value estimates
Yu-Gi-Oh!Yu-Gi-Oh! card catalog and prices
Disney LorcanaLorcana card catalog and values
RiftboundRiftbound card catalog and prices
Cyberpunk Trading Card GameCyberpunk card catalog and value estimates

Your cards share one environment while keeping their individual details: artwork, set, collector number, language, and version. You can move between games without losing sight of your collection as a whole.

This also makes it easier to explore another TCG without starting your organization from scratch. To discover Night City before building your inventory, our Cyberpunk Trading Card Game guide introduces the game, its products, and its different printings.

Multiple Card Languages Without Mixing Up Editions

Luma lists cards in English, French, Japanese, Chinese, and Thai, depending on the games and sets available in its catalog.

The language printed on a card is not the same thing as the app's interface language. You can use the app in English to catalog a Japanese card: what matters is the physical version you actually own.

Coverage is not identical across every game. A language may only be available for certain sets, and sealed products have their own coverage.

Check Luma's supported games and card languages to see which parts of your collection are covered.

Identify the Right Printing, Not Just the Right Name

Two cards with the same name can belong to different editions or feature different treatments. A consistent inventory therefore needs more than the character's name: the collector number, set, language, and version must also match.

This becomes especially useful when a set includes numerous variants. Our Magic: The Gathering – Reality Fracture guide, for example, introduces the different categories associated with that set. In Luma, the principle remains the same: select the printing that matches your physical copy.

Scan Pokémon, One Piece, Magic, and Other TCG Cards

Luma's card scanner lets you add cards from photos rather than manually searching for every reference. It covers all seven supported games.

The process is straightforward:

  1. Select the game and photograph your card.
  2. Luma searches for the matching printing using the card's identifying details.
  3. Check the result, particularly the set, collector number, language, and version.
  4. Add the card to your collection and enter its quantity.

Scanning makes data entry easier, but checking the result still matters: the catalog entry you add should match the physical card you own.

Scan Cards One After Another With Instant Mode

When instant mode is available, capture happens automatically. You can present cards one after another while the previous cards are still being recognized.

This helps you work through a batch after opening packs or while organizing a binder. You can keep capturing cards without restarting the full search process for each one.

A manual capture button is available when needed. You can also add cards through search, particularly when you already know the reference you need.

The free plan includes 20 scans per month. Luma Pro offers unlimited scans. The scanner is therefore not reserved exclusively for subscribers.

Organize Your Collection and Find Missing Cards

A well-maintained collection is about more than counting cards. It helps you distinguish between the cards you already own, your duplicates, and the references you are still looking for.

Luma organizes browsing by game, series, and set. You can check your quantities and track your progress through the sets listed in the catalog.

The benefit becomes tangible when opening packs or making a purchase: checking a card before accidentally buying another copy, finding the gaps in a set, or realizing that a new addition finally completes a section of your binder.

Define Your Collecting Goal

Completing a set, collecting a particular character, and focusing on specific artwork are different projects. An inventory helps you decide which goals to pursue without mixing all your interests together.

For an anniversary collection, start by understanding the products and cards that interest you. Our Pokémon 30th Celebration guide can help you explore the collection. You can then use Luma to track the references available in its catalog and organize the ones you own.

The goal is not to collect more at any cost. It is to understand what you are looking for.

Estimate Card Values and Track Your Collection's Worth

Luma displays estimated card prices and the overall value of your collection, using reference prices updated daily.

This gives you a benchmark for checking a particular card or reviewing your entire inventory. Current prices and total collection value are included in the free plan.

Where Do the Card Prices Come From?

Market sources include Cardmarket, alongside TCGplayer and eBay data, depending on the card and the information available.

Not every source is necessarily available for every reference. The amount of historical data and the level of detail can also vary from one card to another.

Luma Pro provides access to detailed sources and graded card values. Explore Luma's collection tracking and valuation features to see how the tools work, from estimating an individual card's value to analyzing a collection.

A Value Estimate Is Not a Guaranteed Selling Price

The displayed value is a market reference, not a guarantee that your copy will sell for that amount.

The card's actual condition, version, language, and transaction terms still matter. An ungraded card's value should not be confused with the value of a professionally graded copy.

Prices are updated daily, rather than in real time after every new transaction.

Understand How Your Portfolio Changes

Luma Pro's advanced tools let you examine changes in value, the largest price movements, and your portfolio breakdown.

When you enter purchase prices, Luma can also show the difference between your acquisition cost and the current estimated value. That difference remains an indicator: it is not a realized profit until a sale has taken place.

The free plan includes 30 days of price history. Luma Pro provides all available historical data, with the depth of that history depending on the information available for each card.

Track Sealed Booster Packs, Boxes, and Collection Products

A collection does not end with single cards. You might keep a collection box for its presentation, leave a booster box unopened, or bring together several products from the same set.

Luma lets you add sealed products listed in its catalog, including booster packs, booster boxes, collection boxes, and other available references.

This gives you a more complete view of what you own without maintaining a separate inventory for unopened products.

You still need to select the correct reference: the game, product, edition, and language where specified. Support for a game does not mean every sealed product from that game is already in the catalog.

The free plan lets you track 15 sealed products. Luma Pro removes that limit.

Plan Your Next Purchases With Wishlists and Price Alerts

An illustration you spotted on someone's profile, a missing card, or a character you would like to collect: the wishlist keeps your collecting goals in one place.

The free plan includes 20 wishlist cards. With Luma Pro, the wishlist becomes unlimited, and price alerts let you monitor a price threshold.

Market movement views also help you identify price drops on the cards you follow. You can keep track of both your collecting interests and your purchase budget without relying on a folder of screenshots.

Analyze Card Centering Before a Possible Grading Submission

Before submitting a card for professional grading, it is useful to examine its physical characteristics. Luma offers a photo-based card centering analysis tool, with comparisons against the criteria of several grading companies, including PSA, BGS, and SGC.

Centering refers to how evenly the borders are positioned around the card. To understand the measurements and what to look for, read our complete card centering guide.

What the Tool Does — and What It Does Not Do

Luma provides centering analysis before a possible grading submission.

It does not certify the card or determine its overall grade on its own. Corners, edges, and surface condition also matter. Good centering therefore does not guarantee a grade of 10.

For the next step, our guide to choosing a card grading company complements this initial assessment. Check your chosen company's current criteria, prices, and submission terms before sending a card.

The free plan includes 3 centering analyses per month. Luma Pro offers unlimited analyses and access to graded card values when the corresponding data is available.

Import an Existing Collection Without Entering Everything Again

Already started your inventory in a spreadsheet or another tool? Luma supports imports from CSV files and card lists.

Import readers are available for several formats, including TCGplayer, Cardmarket, ManaBox, Moxfield, Dragon Shield, Dreamborn, and YGOPRODeck, among others.

Imported cards are matched against Luma's catalog. Compatibility depends on the information in the file: a name alone may be less precise than an entry that also includes the set, collector number, and language.

Some exports are processed through a generic reader. Support for a file format should therefore not be confused with continuous synchronization between two apps.

After importing, take the time to check the matches and quantities, especially for cards that exist in several editions.

Luma Pro also lets you export your collection as a CSV file, so you can work with your data in a spreadsheet however you need.

Share Your Collection and Meet Other Collectors

A card's appeal is not limited to its market value. It can represent a favorite character, memorable artwork, or the excitement of a particular pack opening.

Luma includes a community space with profiles, the ability to follow other collectors, a post feed, interactions, a card showcase, and private messaging.

You can share your finds, follow other collections, and discover cards you might not otherwise have noticed. Your collection becomes a starting point for conversation rather than an inventory you only browse on your own.

Which Posts Are Included in the Free Plan?

Text posts, card posts, and GIFs are included in the free plan.

Sharing your own photos in posts, along with stories, is included in Luma Pro. This distinction makes it clear which community features are available without a subscription and which belong to the paid plan.

Shops and Listings: Connecting Members

The Community area also includes shops and member listings.

These features connect collectors with one another. Card payments are arranged directly between the people involved: a listing on Luma should not be confused with a purchase processed or guaranteed by the app.

Discover TCG Releases and Amazon Invitation Listings

Luma provides a calendar of listed releases for the games you follow. You can plan your next discoveries and keep an overview of the products that interest you.

For a closer look at a set and what makes it distinctive, the articles and guides on the Luma TCG blog complement the release calendar.

The app also lists products offered through Amazon's invitation system and links to their product pages.

Free users can access one invitation-based product listing per country through Luma. Luma Pro provides access to all available listings in each country.

Invitation requests and purchases take place on Amazon. Luma does not guarantee that you will receive an invitation or that a product will be available: these conditions can change independently of the app.

Luma Free vs. Luma Pro: What Does Each Plan Include?

The free plan lets you build your first collection, check its value, and try the main tools. Luma Pro is designed for collectors who need higher limits or more detailed analysis.

How Much Does Luma Pro Cost?

Listed prices are €5.99 per month or €49.99 per year.

A seven-day trial is offered on the annual subscription for eligible new subscribers on iPhone and Android. This offer should not be assumed to be available to every account or on every platform.

The price and eligibility conditions displayed when you subscribe take precedence. See Luma Pro pricing and plan details to compare the options.

How to Get Started With Luma TCG

The easiest approach is to choose an initial goal rather than trying to catalog your entire collection immediately.

Start with one game or set. Find a few familiar cards to get used to the catalog entries and different versions.

Add your first cards. Use the scanner or search, then check the matches and quantities. Use the import feature when you already have a compatible inventory.

Build a more complete picture. Add the cataloged sealed products you own and put the cards you are looking for on your wishlist.

Then explore the tools that interest you. Collection value, set completion, centering analysis, or community discoveries: you can shape your use of Luma around the way you collect.

Find the iPhone, Android, and browser options on the Luma TCG download page.
