Values recorded on 30 September 2026. The figure shown is the Cardmarket trend price — the smoothed average of recent sales, steadier than the day's lowest listing, which a single underpriced offer would be enough to distort. Sealed products are excluded: only cards in the Luma catalog are ranked.

Magic: The Gathering on Luma

Magic: The Gathering is the first trading card game ever published, released in 1993. Thirty years of editions make it the largest and most layered catalog on the market: a single card can exist in dozens of versions, from Alpha to modern reprints, with price gaps of a thousand to one.

Luma tracks those editions with their name, number and rarity, so a card resolves to its exact version — the only thing that determines what it is worth. Original printings, old borders and recent reprints are never conflated.

Values come from the Cardmarket price guide, recorded daily and denominated in euros. This is the European market price, the one you actually buy and sell at, not a conversion from dollars.

Frequently asked questions about Magic: The Gathering

How do I value my Magic collection?

Search for the card by name or number: Luma identifies the edition, adds it to your collection and totals today's values. On a catalog as wide as Magic's, the edition is what sets the price — pick it and the total follows. Photo scanning is also available for Magic.

Are two Magic cards of the same name worth the same?

Almost never. A card reprinted ten times exists at ten different values, and the gap between an original printing and a recent reprint often runs to hundreds of euros. That is why Luma always reasons by edition, never by name alone.

Are Reserved List cards tracked?

Yes. Reserved List cards, which Wizards of the Coast has committed never to reprint, are in the catalog with their values. They are mechanically the most expensive in the game, since their supply can no longer grow.

Do the Magic prices shown account for condition?

No. The Cardmarket value refers to an ungraded copy in good condition. A played card loses a significant share of its value, and a highly graded copy can be worth several times the figure shown.

What is your Magic: The Gathering collection worth?

Log your Magic: The Gathering cards one by one or in bulk: Luma adds up today's values at European market price and tracks how your collection moves.
