Bandai's Naruto Card Game: the official game coming in 2027

This is the one everyone is talking about. Bandai, the publisher of the One Piece Card Game, announced it in June 2026, ran the first public games at Gen Con in late July, then set the date at New York Comic Con: June 2027, worldwide, at the same time everywhere.
The game covers Naruto, Naruto Shippuden and Boruto. The first announced products are three Starter Decks, led by Naruto, Sasuke and Gaara, and a first Booster Pack. Prices, card counts and rarities have not been published yet.
On the rules side, Bandai has shown the essentials: a deck is one Leader, 51 cards, 5 Chakra cards and one Summon card. Chakra powers Ninjutsu, the Summon card brings characters into play, and you win by bringing your opponent's Leader to zero life. Some cards are played face down, which adds bluffing.
Asmodee will distribute the game in Europe. To try it before launch: Paris Games Week, October 22–25, 2026 (booth E8), then store demo events in February and March 2027.
A sign of the hype: the "Chakra" promo card handed out at Gen Con was trading around $960 on TCGplayer on October 21, 2026, before the game is even out.

Kayou cards: collect, don't play
Kayou is a Chinese manufacturer that has made licensed Naruto cards for several years. They are collectible cards: no rules, no decks, no tournaments. You open packs for the thrill of pulling your favorite characters, in series such as Heaven Scroll and Earth Scroll, with highly detailed rare cards.
They are the easiest Naruto cards to find today, in stores and online. If you are looking for a "rare Naruto card" to put in a binder, it is often a Kayou.
Naruto Mythos TCG: a different game, already on sale
Naruto Mythos TCG is a licensed card game from a publisher other than Bandai. It has been on sale in Europe since March 2026 and already has several sets. Right now it is the easiest way to play a Naruto card game in Europe.
Note that Bandai's Naruto Card Game does not replace or continue it. The two games have their own rules, and their cards are not compatible.
Which one should you pick?
- You want to play competitively for years: wait for Bandai's Naruto Card Game. It will have the organized play circuit, like the One Piece Card Game.
- You want to play now: Naruto Mythos TCG is available today.
- You want to collect and open packs: Kayou cards are made for that.
- You are speculating: Bandai promos handed out before launch are scarce and already in demand, but their price may drop once the game ships in volume.
